Bavarian Meatball Stew

Ingredients:
1 egg (beaten),
1/2 cup breadcrumbs,
3 tablespoons dried parsley,
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice,
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg,
1/4 teaspoon pepper,
1 1/2 pounds ground beef,
2 cans beef broth,
1 can diced tomatoes (with liquid),
1 can rinsed sauerkraut
2 cubed potatoes
2 sliced carrots
2 sliced celery ribs
1 packet onion soup mix,
1 tablespoon sugar,
1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 bay leaf.

Directions:
1. Combine egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, allspice, nutmeg, and pepper. Mix in ground beef and form into 1-inch balls. Bake on a rack at 400°F
