Pork Chops With Caramelized Apples and Onions

Pork Chops With Caramelized Apples and Onions

Ingredients:
4 bone-in, free-range, organic pork chops
3 tablespoons butter
2 large onions, thinly sliced
4 sliced and cored apples
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions:
Season the pork chops with pepper to taste. Heat a large pan over a medium-
high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter and fry the chops, about 5 minutes on
each side or until well cooked and browned.
Set the pork chops aside and reduce the heat to medium-low, then add the other
tablespoon of butter, as well as the onion and apple slices.
Cook for about 4 minutes, or until the onions have caramelized and the apple
slices are softened.
Serve the chops with the topping of apple and onions.
Nectarine & Onion Pork Chops

Apples are frequently coupled with pork, but other fruits can do a noble job too,
as the nectarines do in this recipe. Try out a variation of different fruits with the
recipe, such as grapes or berries.
