Dutch Oven Tangy Glazed Ham

Dutch Oven Tangy Glazed Ham

Ingredients:
5-7 pounds precooked ham
1 (15-ounce) can pineapple rings
1 (1-2-ounce) bottle maraschino cherries (optional)
1 cup water
Glaze:
1 (8-ounce) jar orange marmalade
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
6 ounces amaretto or other almond or cherry liqueur

Directions:
1. Mix the glaze ingredients and let sit while you get the charcoal ready.
2. Place the ham on a rack in a deep 14-inch Dutch oven with the juices from the cherries and pineapple and the water.
3. Brush the ham with the glaze. Place pineapple rings on the ham with a cherry in the center of each, securing with toothpicks if needed.
4. Set the Dutch oven in a fire pan with 8-10 briquettes underneath and 12-14 around the outside of the lid. Cook 1 hour, brushing with the remaining glaze 2-3 times.
