Sandies a.k.a. Sand Tarts or Swedish Wedding Cookies

Ingredients:
butter, without salt
sugars, powdered
vanilla extract
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
nuts, walnuts, english
sugars, powdered

Directions:
Soften the butter to room temperature.
With a wooden spoon mix together the butter, 3 Tablespoons of powdered sugar, vanilla, flour and nuts in a medium sized bowl.
Make sure to mix it very well.
Mixture will appear dry and crumbly when its ready.
Shape into balls or crescent shapes.
Place the balls on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
These do not spread.
Bake at 325F for approximately 10 minutes.
Then remove from the oven and allow to cool.
When cool roll the cookies in powdered sugar.
