Peanut Butter Bon-Bons
Ingredients:
peanut butter, smooth style, without salt
butter, without salt
sugars, powdered
shortening, vegetable, household, composite
spartan, real semi-sweet chocolate baking chips,
Directions:
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar and beat until the mixture holds together.
Shape into balls and place on a baking sheet.
Place in the freezer for 1 hour or until firm.
Combine chocolate and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl and melt on high for 1 minute.
Stir and continue to heat in 10 to 15-second intervals until chocolate is melted.
Using a toothpick, dip frozen peanut butter balls in the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion on top uncovered.
Or cover completely, its up to you.
Use a fork to pick up the bottom of the ball and let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
Place the covered ball back on the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining peanut butter balls until done.
Place sheets in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets.
