Salsa Verde Cocida

Yield: 1 qt (1 L)

Ingredients:
- 4 13-oz (368-g) cans entire tomatillos (Mexican green tomatoes)
- 2 oz (60 g) Onion, chopped
- 4 Garlic cloves, chopped
- 2�?"4 oz (60�?"125 g) Green chiles, these kinds of as jalapeño or serrano, canned or fresh
- 1 oz (30 g) New cilantro leaves (optional)
- 1 fl oz (30 mL) Oil
- to taste Salt

Directions:
1. First, drain the tomatillos.
2. Next, merge the tomatillos, onion, garlic, chiles, and cilantro in a blender. Combine to a tender purée.
3. Then, heat the oil in a major saucepan. Incorporate the purée and cook 4�?"5 minutes, right until slightly thickened.
4. Finally, time to taste with salt.
