Irish Sodabread
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking soda
salt, table
milk, buttermilk, fluid, cultured, lowfat
butter, without salt
Directions:
Cut butter into flour.
Add salt and soda, mix.
Add buttermilk and stir into ball of dough.
Knead the dough a few times.
Place ball of dough on greased pan and smoosh the top down to make a flattened oval about 2" thick.
Bake at 400F 20 minutes.
Then adjust temp to 325 and bake 30 minutes.
