Salisbury Steak for Two
Ingredients:
delallo, italian seasoned breadcrumbs,
salt, table
spices, pepper, black
onions, raw
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
beef, grass-fed, ground, raw
beef, grass-fed, ground, raw
butter, without salt
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
apple juice, canned or bottled, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
onions, spring or scallions (includes tops and bulb), raw
Directions:
FOR THE SALISBURY STEAK: Measure bread crumbs, salt, pepper, onion, milk, soy sauce and bouillon powder into bowl.
Stir.
Add ground beef.
Mix well.
Shape into 4 small oval patties 3/4 inch thick.
Broil 8 to 10 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
Makes 4 steaks.
FOR THE SAVORY SAUCE: Melt butter in frying pan.
Mix in flour and salt.
Stir in apple juice, milk and green onion.
Heat and stir until mixture boils and thickens, being sure to loosen any brown bits in pan.
Pour over steaks.
Serves 2.
