Pepper Nuts (Pfeffernusse)

Ingredients:
syrups, corn, light
sugars, granulated
cereals, oats, regular and quick, unenriched, cooked with water (includes boiling and microwaving), without salt
margarine, regular, 80% fat, composite, stick, without salt
spices, ginger, ground
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
spices, anise seed
spices, cinnamon, ground
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched

Directions:
Mix as cookie dough.
Roll into thin ropes about the size of your pointer finger and cut into 3/4" lengths.
You may want to freeze the ropes so as to make it easier to cut.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 deg.
F. on large cookie sheets.
