Hummus
Ingredients:
chickpeas (garbanzo beans, bengal gram), mature seeds, raw
water, bottled, generic
lemon juice, raw
seeds, sesame butter, tahini, from roasted and toasted kernels (most common type)
oil, olive, salad or cooking
spices, garlic powder
spices, cumin seed
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
Directions:
In blender or food processor, puree all ingredients until smooth.
Pour into serving bowl.
Can garnish with a sprinkle of paprika (not hot paprika) and parsley.
Note: Tahini can be found in many grocery stores and specialty stores in the middle eastern food aisle.
