For the hummus
Just one lower onion, chopped
2 tsp. olive oil
Four garlic cloves, minced
A single (15-oz.) can garbanzo beans (or identical inside home-cooked beans)
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup new chopped parsley
Two tbsp. chopped jalapeño peppers (optional)
One tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
One tsp. salt
For the dukkah
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 tbsp. coriander seeds
1 tsp. cumin seeds
Sea salt and black pepper

To crank out the hummus, warm the olive oil in a saucepan, and cook the onions for 5–7 minutes, till tender. Position the onions and all the other ingredients in a food stuff processor, and combine till the hummus reaches your favored texture, adding a very little water, if the blend looks much too rigid. to generate the dukkah, combine the seeds and almonds in a hot, dry skillet. Toast right up until golden, then neat. Coarsely grind mixture by means of pulsing a several of moments in a meals processor, or by frivolously crushing with a pestle and mortar.
