Soak the prunes right away inside the wine. Pour off the wine into a nonreactive pan, and avert it more than medium-higher warmth by way of 50 %. Include the prunes and sugar, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Provide tepid with cheese and refreshing bread. Serves 6 to 8.
