Brandied Fruit
Ingredients:
Peaches
Dried apricots
Cherries
Sugar
Directions:
1. Pineapple
2. (This is a "starter" for a pot of brandied fruit.
3. It will take a total of 9 weeks for this to be complete, for eating.
4. After the initial 9 weeks, fruit and sugar may be added at 2 week intervals for an indefinite period of time. Also, after the initial 9 week period, you may remove any amount of brandied fruit and give it to a friend as her "starter." Add in more fruit and sugar in proportion to the amount removed.)
5. In a large container (loose fitting cover), add in 2 cups sugar and 2 cups bite size peaches.
6. Mix well (don't chill).
7. Stir every day till bubbles disappear, about 3 weeks.
8. Add in 2 cups sugar and 2 cups bite size pineapple.
9. Stir every day for 2 weeks.
10. Add in 2 cups sugar and 2 cups diced apricots.
11. Stir daily for 2 weeks.
12. Add in 2 cups sugar and 2 cups quartered cherries.
13. Stir daily for 2 weeks.
14. It is ready to eat now and may be refrigerated.
15. This is very much worth the trouble it is to make.
16. Excellent over ice cream.
17. A "starter" makes an excellent Christmas gift.
18. TAKES TOTAL OF 9 WEEKS FOR INITAIL BATCH TO GET READY!
