honey
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
water, bottled, generic
oil, olive, salad or cooking
Directions:
preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
place the sesame seeds on a baking sheet and bake for a couple of minutes.
place in a saucer.
sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center.
slowly add the water and 1 tablespoon of honey, stirring as you go until you have a runny dough.
heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small frying pan and pour in about a quarter of the dough mixture.
as it cooks it will thicken.
turn the fritter over several times to brown both sides.
remove from heat and place on a paper towel on a plate.
repeat with the other portions of the mixture.
pour the remaining honey over the fritters.
use tongs to pick up each fritter and coat it in the sesame seeds.
eat while still warm, with your fingers or a fork.
