France and Switzerland banned Pernod (and legitimate absinthe) for component of the early 20th century, fearing its hallucinogenic penalties. Bottoms up, you madmen.
1 lemon wedge
Sugar
6 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 1/2 ounces Pernod

1. Coat the lemon wedge with sugar.
2. Include dashes of Tabasco sauce to lemon.
3. Suck the lemon.
4. Shoot the Pernod.
