Raw Veggie Burger Sliders
Ingredients:
Veggie Burgers:
Sunflower seeds
Flaxseed
Lemon juice
Water
Carrot
Onion
Basil
Dill
Jalapeño
Salt
1 clove garlic, minced
To Serve:
1 recipe raw onion bread or buns
2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
½ red onion, thinly sliced
Optional: dressing and/or sauces of choice
Directions:
1. In a food processor or blender, process the sunflower seeds and flaxseed with the lemon juice and a little water to create a batter the consistency of creamy peanut butter.
2. Add the carrot, onion, basil, dill, jalapeño, salt, and garlic to the food processor and process until well mixed but still chunky. You may need to add a little extra water to make it easier to form the mixture into patties.
3. Form the veggie burger mix into small patties about 3" wide.
4. Prepare the onion bread or buns recipe according to its instructions, but form the dough into small buns about 5" wide.
5. Dehydrate both the veggie burgers and onion bread at 110°F for 12 hours.
6. Make a sandwich with the veggie burger between 2 onion buns. Top the burger with sliced tomatoes and red onion. Add whatever other toppings you like.
