Decorator's Frosting
Frosts 3 to 5 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk or half-and-half
Food coloring (optional)
Directions:
Stir together the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk until smooth and spreadable.
Add more milk for a thinner frosting or a glaze.
To tint, stir in liquid food color 1 drop at a time. For intense colors, use paste food color, since too much liquid color will make the frosting separate and look curdled.
