Bianca Cracker Treats
Ingredients:
¼ cup gluten-free oatmeal
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
½ cup water or more
Directions:
DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix until well incorporated. Add more
water if necessary for the mixture to spread well. Spread mixture onto a nonstick
dehydrator sheet and dehydrate at 115 degrees overnight or 15 hours, turning once when
they are dry enough to do so. Place a mesh dehydrator tray on top of the existing crackers
and flip tray over. Continue drying.
If using an oven, spread mixture on a parchment-lined pastry or baking sheet. Set
temperature to lowest setting and bake for approximately 45 minutes; turn them once and
check often to be sure they do not burn.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS AND THANKS
Over the past several years I’ve been encouraged by so many wonderful people around
the world. Hundreds of letters and e-mails arrive telling me I inspired them enough to
change their diets, when in fact they are the ones who inspire me to continue my work in
helping others to get healthier. Every life that I may have helped change for the better
comes with effort on the part of each person whose life was changed. I’ve received
heartwarming letters from 11-year-olds and 70-year-olds with such inspiring stories.
People whose health and lives are better because they took the steps and made the
dedication to change. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.
Mike Mendell, my boyfriend of thirteen years, is a trooper beyond the call of duty. I
introduce him as my better half, which is true. You know him through his photography in
my last two books and in this one. You know him from just about every photo you see of
me on my social media pages and my YouTube channel videos, and about every food
photo you see that is posted on my social network pages. I know him as the best
companion a person could have in this lifetime. Tirelessly he traipses across the world
with me dragging books and equipment for my demonstrations. He is the kindest person
and my great supporter.
To all my children, listed by age, not favoritism, which is a running joke in the family.
They always sign e-mails or cards with TFC, “the favorite child.” Thank you, thank you,
thank you for all your constant love and support of everything I do throughout my entire
life. Dan, Lisa, Jonas, and Mia you always make me feel special. I’m so proud of each of
you and the kind of adults you’ve grown to be. You helped to inspire this book each time
you asked for another juice cleanse recipe and for all your willingness to try every juice
I’ve put before you. I couldn’t ask for more loving children.
Grandchildren, all seven of them … lucky me! Beautiful, warmhearted, nonjudgmental,
and all so kindhearted. You help me stay youthful and current. Mackenzie, Hannah, Karly,
Rocky, Luke, Audrey, and Gunner. My life is so much richer with all of you in it. I’m so
proud of every one of you. Thanks to Toni and Gigi, my daughters-in-law, for always
