FOR INSOMNIA AND OTHER SLEEP DISORDERS
Being deprived of sleep can affect your health. Snoring, insomnia, sleep apnea, and
restless leg syndrome are all common sleep disorders. Going to sleep too late and getting
up too early can encourage heart disease, strokes, and high blood pressure. Poor sleep is
associated with the inability to concentrate. Sleeping pills and sedatives can only add to
health problems. Using a natural approach to correct the problems of sleep deprivation
should be our first choice. Juicing certain vegetables and fruits during the day can help to
change your constitution and in turn help you sleep better. The following is a list of
vegetables and fruits that can help you sleep by relaxing muscle and internal organs:
spinach, kale, chard, parsley, broccoli, cucumbers, kiwi, strawberries, bananas, apricots,
sour cherries, tomatoes, mint, pomegranate, red grapes, and concord grapes.
In addition to juicing, remove all electronic devices from your bedroom before going to
sleep and create a ritual before going to bed. Take a warm bath, try wearing pajamas or
some clothing to bed that you don’t wear outside, don’t eat anything two hours before
going to bed, and shut off the television and computer at least ½ to 1 hour before trying to
sleep.
