Tomatillo Sauce
Tomatillo Sauce
Ingredients:
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
Directions:
1⁄ tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

1. Place the tomatillos in the slow cooker with enough water to cover them. Set the
slow cooker to high and allow the tomatillos to cook for 1–2 hours or until tender.
Drain the tomatillos.
2. Place the tomatillos, onion, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, and salt in a food processor
and purée. Place the mixture in a bowl and add water until it has the consistency of a
sauce.
Cranberry Jalapeño Relish
If you can’t take the heat, leave the jalapeños out of this recipe for a
more traditional relish.
Serves 6
1 (12-ounce) bag frozen cranberries
Juice of 2 oranges
Juice of 1 lemon
