Salmon Ravioli for Dogs
Salmon Ravioli for Dogs
Ingredients:
Poodle Pasta dough (see Poodle Pasta recipe)
Filling:
3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
3/4 cup 2% cottage cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup cooked salmon, finely diced
2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Prepare the Poodle Pasta dough and form into the desired ravioli shape and size. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside.
2. In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, whole wheat flour and eggs. Add the salmon and parsley and mix a few more moments.
3. Depending on ravioli size, place 1 to 4 teaspoons in the center of each, moisten the edges and fold.
4. Ravioli can be boiled or baked. To boil, place in rapidly boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes or until done. To bake, preheat the oven to 375°F, place the ravioli on a baking sheet and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
Variation:
Use leftover meat such as beef, chicken or lamb instead of salmon. Shredded vegetables like carrots or sweet potato, or chopped green beans, broccoli or kale, raw oatmeal, cooked rice or cooked barley can also be used in place of meat.
