Easy Chicken Wings
Easy Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
3 pounds chicken wings
1 cup hot sauce
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Celery sticks
Blue cheese dressing
Directions:
1. If your wings are whole, trim the tips of the wings; save for soup or discard. Separate the wings at the joint.
2. Place the wings on a heated gas or charcoal grill and leave undisturbed for 7 minutes.
3. While the wings are cooking, make the sauce: Melt the butter and add the hot sauce, cayenne and black pepper.
4. Turn the wings and cook until done, 5 to 10 minutes more. The drum part will take slightly longer to cook; cut into a drum to test for doneness.
5. Place the cooked wings in a large pot with a secure lid. Pour the sauce over the wings and cover. Shake the wings with the sauce until thoroughly coated. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
