Blueberry Brownies
Blueberry Brownies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup all-purpose white flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup applesauce
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, partially thawed
Directions:
Optional 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Sift the flours, cocoa, baking powder, soda, and salt and add to a
medium bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, and
vanilla. Make a well in the center of the flour and add the applesauce
mix. Stir. Gently fold in the blueberries.
Spread mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking pan and bake in a
pre-heated 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes until center is firm
and not sticky. Let cool completely before slicing.
