Restorative Chest Rub

Restorative Chest Rub

Ingredients:
□ 1/2 tablespoon shea butter
□ 1/3 cup coconut oil or palm shortening
□ 5 teaspoons beeswax pastilles or grated beeswax
□ 40 drops eucalyptus essential oil
□ 30 drops peppermint essential oil
□ 10 drops clove essential oil

Directions:
Fill a small saucepan a few cups of water and put on the stove over medium-high
heat. Place a glass bowl on top of the saucepan. Add the shea butter, coconut oil,
and beeswax pastilles in the bowl. Let the mixture melt, stirring every two or three
minutes. The beeswax will take the longest to melt. When only a few pastilles are
left unmelted, turn off the heat. Stir until the last beeswax pastilles have combined
and you have a completely smooth liquid. Remove the glass bowl from the
saucepan. Let the mixture cool until the liquid is solidified again, it will look opaque
but still slightly warm to the touch. Add the essential oils and whip with a hand
mixer briefly. Transfer the rub to to an airtight glass container and cover with a lid.
When using, apply a small amount to hands and then rub on the chest.
Non-Toxic Bug Spray
Purification essential oil has citronella, a natural bug deterrent that has a distinct
aroma. The blend of oils in this recipe help deter bugs while you are enjoying the
outdoors. Many of the chemicals in store bought bug repellents have been studied
for their health hazards so it is a good idea to make your own.
