Muscle Relief Rub

Muscle Relief Rub

Ingredients:
□ 1/2 tablespoon shea butter
□ 1/3 cup coconut oil or palm shortening
□ 5 teaspoons beeswax pastilles or grated beeswax
□ 30 drops Panaway oil or peppermint essential oil

Directions:
Fill a small saucepan half full with water and put on the stove over medium-high
heat. Place a stainless steel or heat-safe glass bowl on top of the saucepan. Add
the shea butter, coconut oil or shortening, and beeswax pastilles in the bowl. Let
the mixture melt, stirring every 4-5 minutes. The beeswax will take the longest to
melt. When only a few pastilles are left unmelted, turn off the heat. Stir until the
last beeswax pastilles have combined and you have a completely clear liquid.
Remove the bowl from the saucepan. Let the mixture cool until the liquid is
solidified again, it will look opaque but still slightly warm to the touch. Add the
Panaway essential oil and whip with a mixer briefly. Transfer the rub to to an
airtight glass container and cover with a lid. When using, apply a small amount to
hands and rub on sore and aching muscles.
