Crunchy Green Beans

Ingredients:
6 seRvings 1. Steam the beans in a double boiler until tender, about

3 cups fresh string beans, trimmed

Grilled Cheese Squares
This is a traditional favorite among many children. Serve it with Too Good Tomato Soup and Chunky Cherry
Applesauce (see the recipes in this chapter) for a balanced meal.
4 seRvings 1. Generously butter one side of both slices of bread. Cut
off the crusts with a knife.
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Place a slice of

3. Remove from heat and let stand for about 2 minutes.
Cut the sandwich into 4 squares. Let cool slightly before
serving. Serve warm.
