Festive Cranberry Loaf
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
• 2 cup Unbleached flour; sifted
• 1 cup Sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1/2 tsp Baking soda
• 1/4 cup Shortening
• 1 Egg; large, beaten
• 3/4 cup Orange juice; refreshing
• 1 tsp Orange rind; grated
• 1 cup Uncooked cranberries; coarse cut
• 1/4 cup Walnuts; cutped
• 1 tsp Unbleached flour
Instructions:
1. Sift the 2 cups of flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda into a bowl then, getting a pastry mixer, reduce the shortening in just until eventually crumbs sort.
2. Add the egg, orange juice and orange rind and add to the crumb mix all at after, stirring until particularly moistened.
3. Mix the coarsely cutped cranberries, walnutsp and 1 tbsp of flour and include the mix to the batter. Pour into a greased and waxpaper covered loaf pan 8 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
4. Bake in just a preheated 350 diploma F. oven for 1 hour or until eventually a cake tester or picket decide on added inside the middle will come out fresh new.
5. Cool inside the pan for 10 minutes right before turning out to cool to area temperature. Wrap the loaf in just aluminum foil and allow for stand about evening for far better cutping.
