Horseshoe Cheese Sauce
Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
butter, without salt
salt, table
mustard, prepared, yellow
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
sauce, worcestershire
cheese, cheddar
alcoholic beverage, beer, regular, all
Directions:
Combine butter and flour over medium low heat in a large sauce pan.
Whisk until thoroughly combined and smooth.
Add salt, cayenne pepper, and mustard.
Under the same heat, gradually stir in milk.
Continue to stir on occasion until it simmers and thickens considerably.
Remove from heat and add in grated cheese and Worcestershire.
Whisk until cheese is completely melted.
