Chinese lettuce wraps
Ingredients:
450g/1lb minced beef
12â€"16 iceberg lettuce leaves
225g/8oz canned water chestnuts, worn out and chopped
200g/7oz onion, chopped
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons mild soy sauce
50ml/2fl oz hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons minced new root ginger
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon chilli sauce
1 bunch of spring onions, chopped
3 teaspoons dim sesame oil
Directions:
First, sauté the beef and onion inside a high frying pan more than a medium warm. Incorporate the garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, vinegar and chilli sauce. Progress stirring and cooking until finally browned.
Then, increase the water chestnuts, spring onions and sesame oil. Stir and cook for a added 1â€"2 minutes.
Finally, to provide, organize the lettuce leaves upon the outer rim of a high serving plate. Put the meat mix within the middle of the plate. To try to eat, spoon the meat blend upon the lettuce and wrap the leaf in close proximity to the filling.
