Apple Slush Punch Recipe

Ingredients:
apple juice, canned or bottled, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid
sugars, granulated
applesauce, canned, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid (includes usda commodity)
orange juice, raw
lemon juice, raw
syrups, grenadine
leavening agents, baking soda

Directions:

In 3-qt saucepan, heat together apple juice and sugar till dissolved, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients except lemon-lime soda.
Cold completely.
Place in covered container and freeze till hard, about 6 hrs.

To serve, thaw slush at room temperature about 10 min.
Portion into punch c. or possibly bowl and fill with lemon-lime soda.
Garnish with strawberry, if you like.
Yield: 20 servings.
