- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups light-weight brown sugar, firmly packed and separated
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 ounces (2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup grated coconut (optional)

Directions:
1. First, preheat the oven to 350°F.
