Ingredients:
currants, zante, dried
sugars, granulated
water, bottled, generic

Directions:
Place the currants in a colander and rinse well to remove impurities.
Place the currants and the water into a pot.
Boil until softened.
Strain the currants through a sieve to separate the stems and seeds (strain through a sieve).
Divide the sugar into 2 portions and add to the pot.
Simmer on low heat.
Since it hardens easily, once it is still somewhat loose, remove from the heat.
Store in a preservation jar in the refrigerator.
This can be used with bread or sweets.
Here are the red currants.
To grow the tree, plant the tree in a location that stays cool during the summer.
It's best to use the berries to make jam, sweet syrup, jello, fruit wine, etc.
rather than eating them raw.
