Traditional German Lentil Soup
Ingredients:
1 cup green lentils, 6 cups water, 3 bouillon cubes, 1 diced onion, 2-3 diced potatoes, 2 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp red wine vinegar, salt and pepper, sliced smoked sausage (optional).
Directions:
Rinse lentils and soak overnight. Simmer drained lentils with water, half the diced onion, and bouillon cubes for 90 minutes. Add potatoes and cook until soft. Saut
