Fragole all' Aceto di Barolo -- Balsamic Strawberries

Ingredients:
sugars, granulated
vinegar, balsamic
strawberries, raw

Directions:
Heat or carmelize the sugar in a small pan.
When it begins to bubble, pour the vinegar in and reduce for five minutes.
Allow to cool, then chill in the refrigerator.
Wash and hull the strawberries and slice into quarters.
Marinate them in the cold vinegar and sugar for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Serve with a little of vinegar sugar mixture in the serving dish.
