Whole Wheat Applesauce Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
oil, olive, salad or cooking
sugars, brown
applesauce, canned, unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid (includes usda commodity)
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
leavening agents, baking soda
spices, cinnamon, ground
Directions:
cream oil and sugar together.
Fold in applesauce and baking soda.
Add in flour and cinnamon, blending thoroughly.
Oil and flour an 8-inch baking dish or possibly muffin tins.
Pour batter into pan or possibly make individual cakes in muffin tins.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 min in 8-inch pan, 20 min for cupcakes or possibly 8-inch pan.
Yield: 9 servings.
