Smothered Steak

Ingredients:
onions, raw
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
spices, pepper, black
spices, paprika
beef, grass-fed, ground, raw
mushrooms, white, raw
soup, beef broth or bouillon canned, ready-to-serve
sauce, worcestershire
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
water, bottled, generic

Directions:
Place one cup sliced onions in bottom of slow cooker.
Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika.
Cut steaks in serving size pieces and coat in flour mixture.
Place half the steak pieces on top of the onions.
Add another cup onions and the mushrooms.
Top with remaining meat and sliced onions.
Mix beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Pour over meat.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Remove steaks from slow cooker.
Whisk 2 tablespoons flour into 3 tablespoons water.
Stir into slow cooker, cook until thick and bubbly.
Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool.
Place steaks and sauce in freezer bag.
Label and freeze.
To serve: thaw.
Heat and stir until gravy is smooth and hot and steaks are heated through.
