Asian Style Party Mix
Ingredients:
rice, white, long-grain, regular, unenriched, cooked without salt
seeds, sesame seeds, whole, dried
wasabi, root, raw
noodles, egg, dry, unenriched
honey
butter, without salt
soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
spices, ginger, ground
spices, garlic powder
spices, pepper, red or cayenne
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250.
Combine cereal, sesame sticks, wasabi peas, chow mein noodles and peanuts in a large bowl.
Whisk butter and soy sauce together in a small bowl, then drizzle over cereal mixture.
Sprinkle evenly with ginger, garlic powder and cayenne and toss until well combined.
Empty mixture onto rimmed baking sheet and spread to distribute evenly.
Bake, stirring evenly every 15 minutes, until golden and crisp, about 45 minutes.
Cool to room temperature.
Note: I found most of the ingredients in the bulk section.
I took a 1-cup measuring cup and bought what I needed -- plus a little extra for munching on the side!
