Oatmeal With Blueberries and Cream

Ingredients:
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
salt, table
oats
cream, fluid, heavy whipping
blueberries, raw

Directions:
In a heavy saucepan over med-high heat, bring the milk and salt to a gentle boil, about 3 minutes.
Slowly stir in the oats.
Decrease the heat to medium and cook uncovered at a gentle boil, stirring frequently, until the oatmeal is soft and the milk is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
Adjust the heat as needed to keep the oatmeal boiling gently.
Remove from the heat, cover, and let stand for 3 minutes.
After the oatmeal has rested, stir in the cream just until blended.
Using a large spoon, gently stir the blueberries into the hot oatmeal.
Divide among individual bowls and serve at once.
