My Grandmothers Cornbread
Ingredients:
cornmeal, degermed, unenriched, yellow
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
oil, olive, salad or cooking
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
salt, table
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.
Preheat large well oiled cast iron skillet.
In large mixing bowl mix cornmeal, flour and salt.
Stir in water and oil (if batter seems TOO think add a little more water or milk until batter will pour easily).
Pour batter into pre-heated skillet.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
Cut and serve with butter.
