Backpack Snack Recipe
Ingredients:
apricots, dried, sulfured, uncooked
cereals ready-to-eat, granola, homemade
oil, corn, peanut, and olive
spartan, real semi-sweet chocolate baking chips,
raisins, seeded
dates, deglet noor
Directions:
1.
(Get an adult to help with this step) - Measure dry apricots and place on cutting board.
Chop into small pcs using utility knife.
2.
Place in large container with cover.
3.
Measure remaining ingredients into container.
4.
Stir together with large spoon.
5.
Cover and store at room temperature.
Add in or possibly substitue any of the following ingredients:
*Pecan or possibly walnut pcs or possibly whole almonds
*Unsalted shelled sunflower seeds
*Chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, or possibly vanilla chips
*Dry banana slices
*Goldfish or possibly oyster crackers
*Minced dry peaches, apples, figs, or possibly pineapple
*Crisp cereal squares
*Crisp shoestring potatoes
*Chow mein noodles
*Popped popcorn
*Miniature marshmallows
