Aunt Bessie's Pink Applesauce
Ingredients:
apples, raw, with skin
sugars, brown
sugars, granulated
lemon juice, raw
water, bottled, generic
strawberries, raw
salt, table
spices, cinnamon, ground
Directions:
1.
Combine all the ingredients in a heavy pot.
Over medium-high heat bring to a boil.
2.)
Lower heat and cook, stirring ofter while breaking up the apples, until apples are very soft.
If the applesauce is getting too thick then add a bit more water.
3.)
Immediately pour into prepared canning jars.
Cover and process 20 minutes OR if to be used within 3 days, chill in the refrigerator.
