Easy Caramel Sauce (Omac)
Ingredients:
sugars, granulated
water, bottled, generic
cream, whipped, cream topping, pressurized
butter, without salt
Directions:
Combine 1-1/2 cup sugar and water in a large saucepan.
Cook over medium heat without stirring 6 - 10 minutes.
Dip brush in cold water and brush down sides.
Add remaining sugar.
Cook until amber in color.
Use caution at this point as the sauce can turn very quickly.
Heat cream and add to sugar mixture.
Use caution as sauce will bubble up.
Combine well and remove from heat to cool down.
Once cooled somewhat, add 2 T butter.
