Cherry Cobbler
Ingredients:
cherries, sweet, raw
butter, without salt
sugars, granulated
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d
cornstarch
water, bottled, generic
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spread cherries in a greased 9-inch pie pan or 9x9 square baking dish.
Combine butter, 3/4 cup sugar, flours, salt, baking powder and milk in a bowl.
Spread the mixture over the cherries.
Combine the remaining 1 cup of sugar with a tablespoon of flour/cornstarch and a cup of boiling water then pour it over the batter and cherries.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Note: Use non-dairy milk and Earthbalance to make it vegan.
