That Good Peanut Butter Cornflake Candy, a.k.a. Aunt Althas Candy
Ingredients:
sugars, granulated
syrups, corn, light
salt, table
peanut butter, smooth style, without salt
cereals, oats, regular and quick, unenriched, cooked with water (includes boiling and microwaving), without salt
Directions:
Cook sugar, corn syrup and salt over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Add peanut butter and stir to blend.
Pour over corn flakes in a large bowl and stir to coat.
Press mixture into a buttered 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan with buttered hands.
Let cool.
Cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
Makes about 60 one-inch squares.
