A few-CHEESE POLENTA GRATIN WITH ITALIAN SAUSAGES
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces adorable or incredibly hot vast majority Italian sausage
- 8 ounces clean button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups bought tomato-basil pasta sauce
- 1 tablespoon excess-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 1 cup finely shredded Asiago cheese
Directions:
1. Assemble and measure all ingredients before beginning.
2. Prepare the pan or pot and preheat if the dish requires oven cooking.
3. Combine ingredients in sequence, stirring or layering for even cooking.
4. Cook until the texture and doneness are correct, then adjust seasoning.
5. Plate and serve hot, or chill first if the recipe is served cold.
