Tofu Soup with Chinese Cabbage and Tomato
Ingredients:
1 piece (350 g) tofu
1 tomato
2 to 3 leaves Chinese cabbage
1 green onion
4 to 6 slices ginger
1/2 teaspoon MSG (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
Peppercorns
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 1/2 to 3 cups water
1 tablespoon vegetarian broth mix powder
Directions:
1. Cut the tofu into 1 cm cubes. Cut the tomato into 6 to 8 wedges. Cut the Chinese cabbage into 1 x 1/2-inch pieces. Finely dice the green onion.
2. Boil the water in a pot and add the broth mix, MSG, salt, ginger slices and peppercorns.
3. Bring the water to a boil, then add the tofu and tomato wedges.
4. Bring to a boil again, then add the Chinese cabbage. Bring to a boil again and let it boil for about 20 to 30 seconds.
5. Dish up, spread the green onions on top and drizzle the sesame oil over the soup.
