Apple Crunch Muffins
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cup Unbleached flour, sifted
• 1/2 cup Sugar
• 2 tsp Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1 1/2 tsp Floor cinnamon
• 1/4 cup Vegetable shortening
• 1 Hefty egg, a little bit beaten
• 1/2 cup Milk
• 1 cup Tart apples *
• Nut crunch topping
• Apples are to be washed and cored. Shred the unpeeled apples for recipe.
Instructions:
1. ~--------------------------------------------------------------------- ~--- Sift jointly flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon into mixing bowl.
2. Slice in just shortening with pastry mixer until eventually fantasticup crumbs kind. Add egg and milk.
3. Add to dry ingredinetsp all at at the time, stirring accurately sufficient to moisten. Stir inside apples.
4. Spoon batter into paper-covered 2 1/2-inch muffin-pan cups, filling 2/3rds complete. Sprinkle with nut crunch topping.
5. Bake inside of 375 level oven 25 minutes or until eventually golden brown. Serve warm with butter and handmade jelly or jam.
6. NUT CRUNCH TOPPING: Add collectively 1/4 c brown sugar (packed), 1/4 cup cutped pecans and 1/2 t flooring cinnamon inside of very low bowl.
