Espresso & walnut cake
Ingredients:
100g/4oz butter, softened
300g/11oz caster sugar
2 eggs, flippantly crushed
200g/7oz flour, sifted with
1 tablespoon baking powder
150ml/5fl oz powerful coffee espresso
200g/7oz shelled walnuts, finely chopped
Directions:
First, preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Fuel mark 4. Grease a 20cm/8inside sq. cake tin.
Then, product the butter and sugar collectively in just a heavy blending bowl until finally mild and fluffy, then fight within just the eggs. Insert the flour alternately with the espresso right up until the blend is delicate and gentle. Increase the crazy and combination very well.
Finally, pour the blend into the written cake tin, and bake inside the oven for 1 hour. Go away to interesting in just the tin for 10 minutes, then convert out on to a twine rack to neat totally. Provide with just after-evening meal espresso.
