Spelt Biscuits

Ingredients:
wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched
salt, table
leavening agents, baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
butter, without salt
milk, fluid, 1% fat, without added vitamin a and vitamin d

Directions:
Set oven at 450 F and butter an 8x8 baking dish.
Set aside.
Mix spelt flour, salt and baking powder together in medium sized bowl.
Cut in the butter with a fork until the mix resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually stir in the milk until dough pulls away from the walls of the bowl.
Divide dough into 6 pieces and roll each piece gently between your hands to make balls.
Put the balls into the buttered baking dish, each piece up against another so that the tops get crunchy and the middles stay nice and soft.
Put in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until tops feel nice and firm and they are slightly browned.
