Asian/Oriental Cabbage Salad
Ingredients:
cabbage, raw
carrots, raw
onions, spring or scallions (includes tops and bulb), raw
celery, raw
nuts, almonds
seeds, sesame seeds, whole, dried
butter, without salt
sugars, granulated
oil, sesame, salad or cooking
oil, corn, peanut, and olive
roland, seasoned rice wine vinegar,
soy sauce made from soy (tamari)
spices, ginger, ground
noodles, egg, dry, unenriched
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix cabbage, onions, carrots, green onions and celery.
Melt butter in small sauce pan and saute almonds and sesame seeds until golden brown (watch carefully as they will quickly burn).
Remove from heat and add, sugar, oils, vinegar, soy sauce and minced ginger.
Cool slightly.
Pour dressing over vegetables.
Sprinkle noodles on top and serve.
